50 full scholarships for Climate Friendly Travel Diploma

SUNx Malta, supported by Malta’s Ministry of Tourism and Institute of Tourism Studies, is offering 50 full scholarships for the 2023 intake of its two-year online Climate Friendly Travel (CFT) Diploma; one scholarship for each of the 39 SIDS (Small Island Developing States) plus 11 other developing countries around the world.
The unique course trains students to support travel & tourism companies and communities in becoming sustainable and climate-resilient. Students will understand how to achieve Zero GHG emissions by 2050 and how to adapt to extreme weather.
The CFT Diploma prepares students to help build Climate Friendly Travel Communities, and for jobs in travel & tourism, including sustainable transport, hospitality, destination management, government services, and many others.
Students will undergo 300 hours of online learning with some of the leading academic and industry experts in the world, followed by a 12-month internship as a Strong Climate Champion and National Chapter Leader.

In addition to being a graduate from an eligible country who is fluent in English, the ideal candidate must be able to commit to two years of online engagement and be ready to work with SUNx to help build and/or advance a Climate Friendly Travel Chapter in their country.
The course commences October 2, 2023.
